After a thirty year career in the public and charity sector, Angela has a wealth of experience in building effective teams, PR and marketing, managing change and consistently delivering high quality results.
For the last 15 years she has worked on a number of high profile fundraising campaigns, raising in excess of £60 million for charitable purposes.
Most recently she was Director of Fundraising for The Royal Marsden Hospital. There she masterminded the campaign to raise £30 million for new developments at this world renowned cancer hospital, and this sum was successfully raised between 2002 and 2006.
Prior to that, she had devised and implemented the ambitious plan to raise £25 million for Manchester's Christie Hospital, reaching the target six months early in mid 2001. She was appointed MBE at the conclusion of this appeal.
Her move from general voluntary sector management into a fundraising management role dates back to 1993, when she raised £1.5 million from the financial services sector to support the debt advice work of Citizens Advice Bureaux.
Since taking early retirement in 2006 Angela has worked with JPA Group and is now an Associate Director of Fundraising Issues. She is a Trustee of The Edward Holt Trust, a charity managing a sheltered housing scheme in Manchester.
Drawing on these experiences Angela is able to provide a wide range of strategic advice to charity trustees on PR and marketing, managing major gift campaigns and all aspects of progressing successful fundraising strategies.
